Cleaning Upholstry with Steam
Cleaning Tips
- Triangular brush with clean white towels i.e. Nappies.
- Only use a fine mist of detergent.
- Never wet the fabric.
- Use only a low pressure when cleaning any kind of fabric.
- To avoid wetting fabric, use fast, light strokes.
Cleaning Silk: Warm the towel, and then turn off the vapour entirely before touching the fabric -i.e. if the towel is too hot for you then it will be too hot for the silk.
Stubborn spots need extra work, however be patient. Work on the spot for only a minute at a time, and then wait five minutes for the area to dry, and then repeat if necessary.
Please Note: Always test the colour-fastness of any fabric,-especially with reds/ blues. You can do this by taking a clean, moist, warm towel and gently rubbing a small area. Preferably an area that is not visible. If colour comes off on the towel then you may need to have it dry-cleaned
